Membership Categories: ANWC encourages membership for all ages and career stages by offering various levels and types of annual dues. Please check the appropriate category: Note: In addition to Membership Fees there is a one time only Initiation Fee of $50 Affiliate Members Individuals whose professions and interests are allied to the American News Women’s Club. Associate Members Individuals who hold official or high-ranking positions in government, industry and the arts. One of the nation's oldest press clubs, The American News Women's Club is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) offering educational and professional development programs in support of women in the journalism and communications professions. The annual ANWC "Helen Thomas Award" benefit gala awards annual scholarships to journalism schools. In 2003, the organization was named an historic site in journalism by the National Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).
