From Points South, such as Richmond and Ronald Reagan National Airport:

• Exit from the airport onto George Washington (GW) Parkway going north
• Take I-395 North/US-1 North exit towards Washington
• Stay left and follow the signs for US Route 1. This will put you on 14th Street, SW
• Turn right onto C Street, SW and continue 2 blocks
• Turn right onto 12th Street, SW and follow for 3 blocks
• Bear right onto Maine Avenue, SW and keep in the right lane
• Pull into the driveway on your right to arrive at the Mandarin Oriental Ballroom Entrance
  

From Points West, such as Northern Virginia and Dulles Airport:

• Follow I-66 East to US-50 as it becomes Constitution Avenue
• Turn right onto 14th Street, NW and proceed across the National Mall
• Turn left onto Independence Avenue, SW and continue for 2 blocks
• Turn right onto 12th Street, SW and follow for 4 blocks
• Bear right onto Maine Avenue, SW and keep in the right lane
• Pull into the driveway on your right to arrive at the Mandarin Oriental Ballroom Entrance

From Points North, such as New York; Points East, such as Annapolis; and BWI Airport

• Follow I-295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway) South towards Washington
• Merge onto US-50 West which becomes New York Avenue, NE
• Turn left onto I-395 South and take the 12th Street, SW/ Maine Avenue exit
• Bear left onto the D Street exit, and turn left onto 12th Street, SW
• Continue 2 block and bear right onto Maine Avenue, SW keeping in the right lane
• Pull into the driveway on your right to arrive at the Mandarin Oriental Ballroom Entrance

From Points Northwest, such as Frederick, MD:

• Follow I-270 southbound to I-495 (the Capitol Beltway) towards northern Virginia
• Exit at the George Washington (GW) Parkway, exit 43
• Proceed on the GW Parkway until the Roosevelt Bridge exit
• While crossing the bridge, follow onto Constitution Avenue toward downtown
• Turn right onto 14th Street, NW and proceed across the National Mall
• Turn left onto Independence Avenue, SW and continue for 2 blocks
• Turn right onto 12th Street, SW and follow for 4 blocks
• Bear right onto Maine Avenue, SW and keep in the right lane
• Pull into the driveway on your right to arrive at the Mandarin Oriental Ballroom Entrance

From Independence Avenue, SW

• Proceed toward 12th Street, SW – between the Smithsonian and the Dept. of Agriculture
• Turn South onto 12th Street, SW and proceed 4 blocks
• Bear right onto Maine Avenue, SW and keep in the right lane
• Pull into the driveway on your right to arrive at the Mandarin Oriental Ballroom Entrance

From the l’Enfant Plaza Metro - for the Blue, Orange, Yellow and Green lines:

• Exit the station and turn right into the arcade, following to the D Street exit.
• Turn left onto D Street, SW, go under the overpass, and up the rise as it becomes Maryland Avenue, SW
• Turn left onto 12th Street and follow for 1 block, to bear right onto Maine Avenue, SW
• One block down, on your right, is the Mandarin Oriental Ballroom Entrance
