The Recipients of our ANWC Excellence In Journalism Award
It is with great pride that we remind you of the recipients of the ANWC's Excellence in Journalism Award to the candidate who possesses the attributes that make him or her standout above the rest in this highly competitive field of journalism. In the past, the award was presented in the form of a formal “Roast and Toast” event at one of the elegant hotels in Washington, D.C. More recently the award has been bestowed in more of a “Toast” cocktails and dinner format at the National Press Club, also in Washington, D.C.  

This event is the ANWC’s chief fund raising activity in which we raise awareness and scholarship grants for worthy journalism students. The festive event around this coveted award are generally held in the spring. We hope to see you at our next “Roast and Toast” of a media luminary in 2013. This year our entire membership was able to vote for the honoree. Barbara Walters will receive the 2013 Excellence in Journalism award on May 17, 2013, at the National Press Club.
